MLK

After the civil rights movement, there were plenty of problems. People were complaining about Dr. Martin Luther King's freedom march. The freedom march was consisted of middle-classed black people and few white people in sunday clothes. They were mostly there to support there struggle. Things began to get wild as two black workers were killed at there job which cause the African American society to just about riot. They found themselves unemployed and overtaxed, they were overcrowding places, and their crime rate began to rise. They had poor health and inadequate schools. In order to stop this, Martin made the Poor People's campaign.

Awesome Job! Thanks (anne)

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't been posting much, but for now on I'm going to do better. The book I've been reading is a Shonen Jump graphic novel called "Dragon Ball". I used to watch the tv show on tv all the time when i was a kid. Chapter one kicks off with a little boy named Goku is out fishing and as he's on his way home he meets a young girl named Bulma in a near car accident. Goku assumes Bulma was a monster coming after his fish but she turns out to be a regular female from civilization. Goku is startled as Bulma learns she is the first female Goku has ever seen. As Goku is frisks Bulma, she realizes he has a tail and assumes that it's fake. Goku invites Bulma to dinner when Bulma realizes something in Goku's house that she's been looking for. A dragon ball. She eagerly tries to take it, but Goku refuses because he says his grandpa gave it to him before he died and Goku communicates with him through the dragon ball. Bulma then pulls out two other dragon balls just like Goku's. She tells him that once you gather all seven dragon balls, you get to make a wish for anything you want. Finally Bulma persuades Goku to go on a journey withher to find the remaining 4 dragon balls. Goku accepts the adventure and ride along with Bulma, but he keeps his dragon ball and says he will only let Bulma borrow it to make her wish. Little does he know, once the wish is made, all of the balls are scattered all over the world and are undetectable for a whole year.

Looks like your on a roll! Thanks (anne)

NBA: The Lakers played the Jazz in Utah. The Jazz had a double digit lead in the first half and came out strong. But in the second half the Lakers came back and took the game over for the win. The loss resulted the Jazz to be eliminated from the playoff race.

4/1
Lakers played the Denver Nuggets and lost their second game since the All-Star break. Putting them two games behind the number 1 seed in the west, the San Antonio Spurs.

4/2
The Lakers have lost three consecutive games, two to teams with records below .500.
The latest defeat came to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday nighit at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The loss left the Lakers 4 1/2 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the best record in the NBA.
It means that Lakers will be hard-pressed to catch the Spurs.
The Lakers have four regular-season games left, the Spurs five.
The Lakers couldn't stop Golden State's backcourt of Monta Ellis (26 points) and Stephen Curry (20).
The Lakers fell behind by 19 points at the start of the fourth quarter, a sign that they still weren't quite ready to play.
They cut the lead to 12 points behind the inspired play of Matt Barnes.
But after Curry made a three-pointer for an 82-67 Warriors lead with 6:14 left, Lakers Coach Phil Jackson called a timeout.
He was looking for a way to get his team going.
Kobe Bryant went to work, scoring 11 of 13 points for the Lakers at one point, pulling them to within 90-82 with 2:16 left after they had trailed, 86-70.
Bryant finished with 25 points on 10-for-20 shooting, but it wasn't enough

4/3
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kevin Durant finished with 31 points and Russell Westbrook scored 26, as the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled away to beat the sliding Lakers, 120-106, at Staples Center.
The Thunder ended the game on a 17-2 run to win their fourth consecutive contest and get their first victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles since moving to Oklahoma City.
James Harden totaled 16 points off the bench for Oklahoma City, which sits in fourth place in the Western Conference. The Lakers and Dallas, which routed Phoenix earlier Sunday, are both a game ahead.
Kobe Bryant netted 31 points to lead the Lakers, who have dropped a season- high five consecutive games. They also suffered their first home loss when leading after three quarters.
"I don't know why we started forcing it in the fourth quarter," said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. "We have to get our rhythm back. We're not sharp as a defensive group."
Los Angeles held a 90-88 edge after three quarters and were still up, 104-103, after Bryant's three-point play with 3:10 to go.
However, the Thunder began their surge on the next possession, when Thabo Sefolosha drilled a three.
Los Angeles ruined a number of its following touches with turnovers -- after committing only one through three quarters -- while Oklahoma City built a lead. The Lakers had nine turnovers in the fourth quarter alone.
Westbrook sank a layup with 1:17 left, giving Oklahoma City a six-point lead. With the Lakers on the brink of falling too far behind, Ron Artest and Bryant both missed a three at the other end. Westbrook followed with a four-point play, making it a 114-104 game with 40.4 seconds left and effectively securing the win.
"Defense got us the basketball, and we made big shots," Durant said. "Everybody did a good job. Tonight was a step in the right direction."
Westbrook scored 16 points in the first quarter to help the Thunder grab a 36-31 advantage, and they held a 66-64 edge at the break. Oklahoma City never trailed in the first half and led by as many as 12.

4/4
Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Ray Allen and Paul Pierce scored 20 and 19 points, respectively, as the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics held off the new-look Miami Heat, 88-80, in arguably the most anticipated regular season opener in NBA history.
The Heat grabbed everyone's attention in the offseason by acquiring two of the highest profile free agent acquisitions. Reigning two-time NBA MVP LeBron James, who fled Cleveland after seven seasons, and former Toronto All-Star power forward Chris Bosh joined forces with Dwyane Wade.
The blockbuster moves by Miami gave them three players with 17 All-Star appearances between them and tons of championship expectations. James and Bosh both signed six-year, $110.1 million contracts, and Wade was re-signed by the Heat for $107.5 million over six years.
Miami's "Big Three" was not good enough to get past a tough Boston team on Tuesday night. James led the way with 31 points on 10-of-21 shooting. Wade and Bosh added 13 and 8 points, respectively, and shot a combined 7-of-27 from the field.
"We all know Rome wasn't built in one day. We understand that," James said. "We just need to continue to get better."
Allen made five three-pointers, including a key three late in the game for the Celtics, who lost in seven games to the Lakers in the NBA Finals last season. Pierce pulled down nine rebounds. Glen Davis ended with 13 points.
James scored 15 points in the third quarter to get the Heat within six, 63-57. Miami cut the deficit to four, 68-64, on a James Jones three-pointer with over eight minutes to play.
The Celtics responded with a Davis layup and Pierce trey to extend their lead to 73-64. The TD Garden crowd started to chant "overrated" after Pierce made three free throws and Davis hit a jumper to give Boston an 83-70 advantage with over four minutes remaining.
Miami quickly silenced the crowd with a 10-0 run. James tallied five points during the run, including a driving layup to cut the deficit to 83-80 with 1:10 to go.
Allen essentially put the game away at the other end with a three-pointer from the corner with 49.8 seconds left. A Wade missed three led to two free throws from Pierce for an 88-80 game with 27.2 ticks left.
"I mean, it's just -- we talk about it every day. That's what we work on every day, making that extra pass, not trying to play hero ball," Pierce said. "I saw him collapse on me, and you've got one of the greatest shooters in NBA history wide open in the corner, it's a no-brainer. I wanted to get it to him."
Eddie House missed a jumper to seal Miami's fate.
James, with his new uniform No. 6, made a jumper from the right wing just 1:07 into the game. After Rajon Rondo made a reverse layup, James was good on another jumper. However, the rest of the half was dominated by Boston.
Shaquille O'Neal's alley-oop dunk sparked a 12-2 Celtics run. Allen capped the spurt with a layup and three-pointer to make it a 14-6 contest with 4:47 left in the first.
Miami trailed by seven, 16-9, following 12 minutes of action due to a 4-of-17 shooting performance.
Holding a 21-13 margin early in the second, Boston put together a 20-9 run to create some distance. Allen tallied six points during the flurry, which O'Neal capped with two free throws for a 41-22 lead with 2:13 to go until half.
The Celtics took a 45-30 lead into the locker room. The Heat shot just 11- of-41 (26.8 percent) from the field in the first half. For comparison, Boston went 17-of-38 (44.7 percent) from the floor.
Trailing by 19, 53-34, Miami went on an 11-2 run to get back into the game. After drawing a blocking foul on Pierce, James made a pair of free throws to get the Heat within 10, 55-45, with about 4 1/2 minutes left in the third.
The Heat scored the final seven points of the quarter to make it a six-point game. House made a three-pointer, and James made two free throws and a layup to cut the deficit to 63-57 after three periods.
"A little bit out of rhythm, of course. This is my first -- LeBron's and my first preseason game," Wade said. "Just getting a little bit out of rhythm and continuity is still -- with me being out, the continuity is still not there yet. But I thought defensively we played well. We did a good job of holding this team to 88 points, and we've still got a lot of things we can work on."

4/5
Andrew Bynum awkwardly sprawled onto the court, staying down for an uncomfortably long moment. The 7-foot center then walked cautiously to the locker room with more than one teammate staring at his perpetually problematic knees.
The Los Angeles Lakers ended their five-game losing streak Tuesday night.
They'll find out what it cost on Wednesday.
Kobe Bryant scored 27 points, but Bynum hyperextended his right knee in the two-time defending NBA champions' 102-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs' role players.
The Lakers' hopes for a third straight title might have taken a significant blow when Bynum fell after stepping on DeJuan Blair's foot during the second quarter. Los Angeles' superb low-post defender will have an MRI on Wednesday while the Lakers wrap up the regular season at Sacramento.
Bynum downplayed the injury while walking comfortably out of Staples Center, and the Lakers are cautiously hoping for news that won't derail their playoff run before it begins. Yet it's tough not to assume the worst with Bynum and his rickety 23-year-old knees.
"There's always concern," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who acknowledged Bynum could be out for at least a few games. "We've seen him go down a couple of times that have been debilitating, so there's a concern. It was kind of a freaky play, but they usually are, and that's what basketball is."
Bryant describes the shot-blocking center as the Lakers' most important defensive player, and his absence from the 2008 NBA finals was one reason Los Angeles lost to Boston before winning the next two championship series with Bynum in the middle. Bynum had surgery last summer to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
"He allows us to be the dominant team we're capable of being," said Derek Fisher, who scored 13 points. "It's hard to think about not having him for any significant length of time. It was tough to see. He's so important to what we do, so to even think for a second that he might be out, the impact that would have on him after all of his work, it's tough to deal with in the moment."
Lamar Odom scored 23 points as the Lakers struggled to hold off the Spurs, who rested stars Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker with the Western Conference's top seed already wrapped up.
Pau Gasol had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Lakers (56-25), who will get the No. 2 seed in the West with a win at Sacramento or a loss by Dallas (56-25).
Gary Neal scored 16 points and Matt Bonner had 13 for the Spurs, whose four-game winning streak ended.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich didn't worry about falling into a tie with surging Chicago (61-20) for the NBA's best overall record, yet his junior varsity nearly knocked off the discombobulated Lakers, who couldn't breathe easily until Bryant's 3-pointer put them up 96-88 with 2:55 to play.
"I think it showed the character, the heart that we have, and we're a pretty deep team," said George Hill, who scored 11 points. "We tried to give the best effort we could, and that's all you can hope for. All of us thought we could win. That was our whole motive going into the game."
The Lakers hadn't won since April 1, falling apart after a sparkling 17-1 stretch. They still haven't fixed the defensive execution issues that have plagued them this month — but if Bynum's potential absence doesn't get the champs' attention, maybe it can't be got.
"Hopefully he'll be back soon, and we'll get him back at 100 percent and just keep plugging away," said Odom, who scored 21 points in the second half.
Bryant played with a short fuse and a scowl even before Bynum's injury. He earned his 15th technical foul of the season for arguing in the third quarter, picking up a T in his third straight game and moving right to the brink of an NBA-mandated one-game suspension.
Bryant punctuated the tantrum by punching a chair on the bench. If he gets another technical foul in the season finale, the suspension would be for the first game of next season.
If the Spurs and Bulls finish with the same record, every tiebreaker is even, so a random drawing would determine who got homecourt advantage in the NBA finals — a nonexistent concern to Popovich, a four-time NBA champion.
Popovich plans to get Duncan back in the lineup Wednesday night in the season finale at Phoenix.
"It's a back-to-back, and I'd rather play (Duncan) tomorrow and not have such a long time before the weekend," Popovich said. "(The reserves) got some experience. I'm happy with what they did."
The Spurs' patchwork starting lineup included Neal, Hill and Tiago Splitter. The Lakers took an early 10-point lead but couldn't hold it, giving up a 13-1 run and going into halftime tied at 45.
San Antonio took a lead on Danny Green's jumper with 7:28 to play, but Odom's three-point play put the Lakers right back ahead.
NOTES: The Lakers played without backup point guard Steve Blake, who will miss at least two games after contracting chicken pox, and reserve forward Matt Barnes, who rested his sore right knee. ... Veteran C Theo Ratliff appeared in just his second game for the Lakers since Nov. 9, playing 2 minutes. He missed most of the season after arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. ... Fans near courtside included Dennis Haysbert and director Adam McKay.

Less than a week after his successful title defense against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania XXVII, World Heavyweight Champion Edge has been forced to retire from in-ring competition due to injury. The unexpected news brings to an end a storied WWE career spanning 13 years and consisting of 11 world title reigns.

The Rated-R Superstar had been suffering numbness and uncontrollable trembling in his arms and hands. This is not the first time Edge has experienced these symptoms of nueropraxia. An MRI administered at Atlanta Midtown Diagnostic Imaging last Monday was sent to Dr. Joseph Maroon, a renowned neurosurgeon and professor of neurosurgery at The Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After careful examination of the MRI, it was determined that Edge would never be cleared to compete again, and thus, he is forced to retire.
In 2003, Edge underwent a two level spinal fusion of the discs between his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. After being cleared to compete, The Rated-R Superstar returned to the ring, resulting in stenosis of the spine, or a narrowing of the spinal column, above and below the fused discs. This narrowing resulted in less and less of the vital fluid needed to protect the spinal cord. Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE since doing so could result in paralysis or even death.

Derrick Rose scored 26 points and Luol Deng added 23 and 10 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls used a big second half to defeat the host New York Knicks, 103-90, on Tuesday.

Carlos Boozer chipped in 14 points and a season-high 22 boards and Joakim Noah scored 13 points for the Bulls (61-20), who have already clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference and still have a shot at the best record in the NBA.

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points for the Knicks, who are locked into the No. 6 spot in the East and will open the playoffs this weekend at the Boston Celtics.

New York held a 55-52 edge at the half but watched that lead quickly disappear when Chicago ripped off a 26-2 run over the first seven minutes of the third quarter. The Knicks recovered by the end of the period, cutting it to 84-73 heading into the final period.

They got as close as 91-84 early in the fourth quarter before Rose drained a 3-pointer to help the Bulls pull away again.

Bill Walker added 18 points for New York, which played without All-Star forward Amar'e Stoudemire for the fourth straight game. Stoudemire is expected to be ready for the playoffs.

Chris Paul and a few teammates sneaked across the street from their hotel to Staples Center the night before the New Orleans Hornets began the post-season, eagerly hoisting up a few shots in the shadows of the Lakers’ imposing championship banners.
With their tumultuous regular season finally a memory, Paul said the Hornets were almost unbearably eager for the playoffs to start.
Maybe that’s why New Orleans got the drop on the defending champs in a stunning series opener.
Paul had 33 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds, flawlessly leading the Hornets down the stretch of a 109-100 victory Sunday in Los Angeles.
Carl Landry scored 17 points and Jarrett Jack added 15 for the seventh-seeded Hornets, who overcame Los Angeles’ major size advantage with cagey defence and a disciplined offensive approach that led to just three turnovers, tying an NBA playoff record.
New Orleans also got a phenomenal game from Paul, who scored 17 points in the fourth quarter and led a decisive 8-0 run after the Lakers trimmed their lead to four points. Repeatedly shredding Los Angeles’ defence on pick-and-roll plays, the four-time all-star was at his playmaking apex.
“I’ve struggled all season long, trying to figure out where to pick my spots,” said Paul, who inscribed his sneakers with the No. 30 of injured teammate David West, New Orleans’ leading scorer. “It’s the playoffs. It’s a whole other energy.”
Game 2 is Wednesday at Staples Center.
A few hours after eighth-seeded Memphis produced a series-opening surprise in San Antonio, Paul and his Hornets put another intriguing wrinkle in the NBA post-season.
Kobe Bryant scored 34 points for the Lakers, who opened the post-season with the same halfhearted effort that comprised much of their regular season after three straight exhausting trips to the NBA finals.
Los Angeles’ seven-foot starters, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, were widely expected to be an awful matchup for smallish New Orleans, but New Orleans rookie coach Monty Williams concocted an impressive game plan to minimize the big men’s impact.
“Our defence, I thought, was late,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. “I think we were late on everything. They were the aggressors, and they stayed aggressive. . . . they respect the Hornets. I just don’t think they were keyed in on what they have to do.”
Bryant bruised his neck when he tumbled into the front row after hitting a jumper in the final minute of the first half, spending the last 10 seconds face down in pain while Ron Artest hit a 43-foot jumper at the buzzer. Bryant got up slowly and missed halftime warmups, but returned without missing a beat.
GRIZZLIES 101, SPURS 98: Zach Randolph raised his fists above his head. The Memphis Grizzlies carried the motto “Let’s Make History” into the playoffs, and in a stunning Game 1 upset, they had already done it.
Sixteen years after entering the NBA, the Grizzlies finally have a post-season win.
Randolph had 25 points and 14 rebounds, and Shane Battier hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 23.9 seconds left to beat the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs.
It’s the first playoff win ever for Memphis, which had been 0-12 in three previous trips.
“It’s nice . . . to have it out of the way, because I don’t have to answer questions about being 0 and 13,” Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said.
Instead, all the questions are about the 61-win Spurs being down 0-1.
Playing without all-star guard Manu Ginobili, who continued to rest his sprained right elbow, San Antonio still had a chance to send the game to overtime. Richard Jefferson missed an open, straight-ahead 3-point look as time expired, then bit down on his jersey collar.
“I was wide open,” Jefferson said.
CELTICS 87, KNICKS 85: Ray Allen hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 12 seconds left, Paul Pierce shut down Carmelo Anthony and the Celtics rallied to beat the New York Knicks 87-85 in their playoff opener in Boston.
New York led 85-84 before Anthony was called for an offensive foul for pushing Pierce with 21 seconds remaining. Allen, who led the Celtics with 24 points, sank the decisive basket from beyond the left arc.

27
The Pacers clame close to winning game 2 of the nba playoffs first round vs the Bulls. Their effort was great but wasn't enough to top Derek rose who scores over 30 points.

28
The Miami Heat won game 2 vs the Philadelphia 76ers. Game 1 was close but game two was a blowout. Lebron led the Heat in scoring because Dwayne Wade had a migraine. Despite the migraine, Dwayne scored 14 points.

29
Tonight the Orlando Magic square off with the Atlanta Hawks. In game 1, Dwight Howard scored 46 points and grabbed 19 rebounds but still lost to the Hawks due to Joe Johnson's great play. Will the same thing happen tonight?

30
The New York Knicks look to avenge themselves tonight after losing game 1 to the Celtics. The Knicks had the cat in a bag until Ray Allen nailed a daggering 3 pointer to put Boston up by 2. Carmello Anthony came back and fired a bad jumpshot in which it lost them the game.

31
The Portland Trailblazers face the Dallas Mavericks in game 2 tonight in Dallas. I can tell this one is going to be a great series, but in the end, I think Dallas will take over. Dallas leads the series 1-0.

32
WWE Monday Night RAW came on last night. John Cena teamed up with new superstar, Sin Cara, to take on the team of The Miz, the WWE champion, and his partner, Alex Riley. In a clean match theat went back and forth, John Cena and Sin Cara came out with the win.

33
The Lakers had the chance to go up 3-1 in they're playoffs series against the Hornets but they failed. Due to the leadership of Chris Paul, the Hornets tied they series at 2-2.

34
The Miami Heat had the chance to close out their series against the Philadelphia 76ers but they choked and now they must play a game 5. I know the Heat will close out the series though. Although, I do not like the Heat.

35
Even on a tough night, the Atlanta Hawks had no doubts about putting the ball in Joe Johnson's hands with the game on the line.
Good plan.
Johnson hit four big free throws in the final 20 seconds, and the Hawks finally put away the Orlando Magic holding on for an 88-85 victory Sunday night and a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference series.

40
The Lakers take game 5 away from the Hornets and look to close out the series in game 6. Game 6 will be played in New Orleans so the Lakers will have to pull off the win on the road. If they lose in game 6 they will be forced to a 7th game in Los Angeles.

41
The Miami Heat look to close out their series against the Philadelphia 76ers in game 5. If you ask me, I think the series should've ended in game 4 but the Heat choked. Lebron James failed to win the game for the Heat in a clutch moment.

42
The Dallas Mavericks look to end their series against the the Portland Trailblazers in game 6.

43
Phil Jackson has reiterated this will be his last season working the sideline.
Coming into this season with a chance for an unprecedented fourth “three-peat” and his second with the Lakers, Jackson at the time called the 2010-11 campaign his “last stand.”

44

Doc Rivers called a report of his possible departure after this season "old news" and stressed that his family has not had a single conversation about his future as a head coach in Boston or anywhere else.

The Barry Bonds trial was the latest case stemming from an investigation led by federal agent Jeff Novitzky into the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (BALCO). The probe started in 2002. Early on, Novitzky dug through the trash at BALCO for incriminating evidence, and from there he and prosecutors built cases that ultimately resulted in convictions of a cyclist, an NFL lineman and Olympic gold-medal winning sprinter Marion Jones, among others.

T.I.'s arrest for alleged possession of a controlled substance, sent shock waves across the hip-hop community.
According to reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Tip and Tiny’s Maybach was stopped at 10:30pm Wednesday, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, by deputies who smelled marijuana emitting from the vehicle. After an investigation both the embattled rapper and his wife were charged of felony possession of a controlled substance and were each released on $10,000 bail, Thursday morning (September 2).
The arrest stands as T.I.’s fifth offense with the law, and latest, after he was released from prison earlier this year stemming from illegal weapon charges.
With this latest interruption to T.I.’s stellar career, which saw the rapper celebrate the #1 debut of his film “Takers” last weekend, many critics and fans alike have responded in support and outrage of the news. We spoke with some of Tip’s main supporters, fans and experts to gauge their reactions of his arrest.
“My initial reaction was disbelief,” said Toshitaka Kondo, Senior Editor of Complex Magazine who wrote the Aug/Sept cover story on Tip. “I mean it's tough that he just got released and now he's being charged with another felony. I think that there will be pressure on the DA to not be lenient with him because they already cut a deal with T.I. for the gun charges. But, it's very hard to judge until the facts come out with this. It really might be nothing. I hope it turns out okay for him.”
“T.I.’s hot right now. But, not in a good way,” expressed DJ S&S, of Sirius Satellite Radio. “He just beat a long bid and to go to L.A., where you know the police out there do a lot of racial profiling, they say any artist or any car that they can not see into, they’re going to pull it over– white or black. If they found marijuana in the car that means it was being used. Unless, they test they’re urine in the investigation. If not, he’s going to beat this!”

“T.I. is obviously a smart, talented and savvy individual. His success at music, acting and all of his other various endeavors is a testament to that. But the incident last night was obviously an example of piss poor judgment,” Alvin aqua Blanco, hip-hop journalist told MTV News' RapFix. “You just got out of jail on federal gun charges so of course you're going to be under extreme scrutiny from law enforcement. The last place he should have ever been was in a car, pulling an illegal U-turn, while puff-puff-passing with the wife no less, allegedly. Obviously his lawyers are thorough but they got their work cut out for them.”
Entertainment attorney, Noemi Pizzini-Neal, Esq. -- who recently served on the defense counsel for Siquon Claton, of Ne-Yo’s Compound Entertainment and the perjury case for rapper Lil’ Kim -– states this latest charge might come with some server penalties for Tip.
“This is a major infraction because T.I.’s on probation, not because of the [controlled substance],” explained Pizzini-Neal, Esq. to MTV News. “The problem here is, he’s going to be charged with possession in California, but once he goes back to Georgia, he’s has to deal with the Federal Probation Department. Once you violate probation, they actually mandate that you do some time.”
“He got off before. He was lucky,” Pizzini-Neal, Esq., continues, “The judge who initially sentenced him was nice, and whoever is in charge of his case at the probation department– they’re not going to be so lenient. Now, he might sit in jail for 20 to 30 days.”
T.I. is schedule to be on probation until 2013 and according to attorney Pizzini-Neal, Esq. any violation of those terms could land the rapper/actor back in prison.
“I don’t know if 30 days is the maximum time because it depends on his probation officer. He/she has to recommend something to him now,” she, further explains. “I’m really unable to tell you for certain because there’s no federal guidelines for probation violations. It’s not a judge who decides, the probation department mandates it. He might do jail time and then be ordered to go to a program. Everyone that gets convicted for drug use has to attend a program. In New York State, it’s called the S.T.E.P. program, which is designed to get offenders clean. If he pleads guilty for possession, he’ll have to go through that in L.A. [Tiny] might do less time than [T.I.] or he just might say [the substance] was his, in which she would walk away with nothing, because she doesn’t have any priors.”
Some fans believe T.I.'s road to redemption has been steered off course with this infraction.
"I'm disappointed to see he's back in the criminal lane, especially after his gun-charges,” Jemaine Buchanan wrote. “Even more so, since he was trying to help troubled youth before he went to jail."
Leo Arias of New York City wrote, "I think it shows that once you reach a certain level of fame or wealth, you think you're above the law."
Currently, T.I.’s future is at the mercy of the Justice Department. The hip-hop royalty couple are due back in court on charges on September 3. There’s no telling how long the King will be uncaged.

The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien is a fiction novel based of Tim O'Brien giving his experience in the war in Vietnam. O'Brien tells stories about what happened to him and his fellow soldiers. The story I liked the most was the Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong chapter. I thought it was quite interesting that Mary Anne grew to like Vietnam since she was a female. It was kind of creepy towards the end of the chapter when she was wearing all the creepy stuff.

52
The first chapter in The Things They Carried was interesting. The Lieutenant, Jimmy Cross, gets distracted from his war duties just because of a female he cant get his mind off of. The woman's name is Martha. Due to the big distraction one of Jimmy's soldiers get kill. Jimmy feel as though its his fault because he wasnt taking his war duties serious enough. Jimmy end up burning the pictures and letters that Martha sent him so he can focused more on his war duties.

53
In the chapter Stockings in The Things They Carried the soldier Henry Dobbins carries around his girlfriends pantyhose. He say that its for good luck. The girl send him a letter breaking up with him. Despite the breakup Henry Dobbins still wear the pantyhose

In the chaper Love in the book The Things They Carried Jimmy Cross go visit Tim O'Brien. At this point in the story the war is over. The two men talk about love. Jimmy Cross mentions that him and Martha had came in contact with each other after the war. He mentions that Martha gave him another picture, she dont don't know that he had burned the previous picture.

The Miami Heat win the series against the Phildelpha 76ers. I personally think that the Heat should have swept the 76ers in Game 4. Since the Heat is the winners of this series they will go on to compete with the Boston Celtics in round two of the playoffs.

56
In the chapter On the Rainy River in The Things They Carried Tim O'Brien receieves his letter saying that he was drafted in the war in Vietnam. O'Brien doesn't want to go. O'Brien feel as though he's too young to be going off to war. Tim gets scared and drive to the Canada borderline he finds him a a little room to stay for a couple of days to think things over. In this chapter O'Brien weighs out his decesions and what he should do.

MGC's play festival was an event in which Dr. Kathleen Downs Acting 1, Acting 2, and Theatre Apperication classes put on a few monologues and a scene from "A Rasin In The Sun". I didn't reaally like the monologues, but the scene in "A Rasin in The Sun" was awesome. The students who played the part did a great job. I liked the the person who played Mama Lena in the play.

Game 5 of Memphis and San Antonio was such an upset. I was rooting for Memphis to close out the series with the San Antonio Spurs. The Grizzlies had a lead on the San Antonio Spurs in the fourth quarter, but couldn't seem to hold on to the lead which cause the game to go into overtime. The San Antonio Spurs take the win 110 to 103. Memphis still leads the series 3-2

The play Fences written by August Wilson is a play based around a black family. Troy Maxon, which is the main character in the play, is the man in the provider of his household. To me Troy has way too much pride while dealing with certain situations. As the play progresses, Troy commits adultery. Troy get someone other than his wife pregnant.Of course his wife finds out and threatens to leave, but end up staying with him because of the baby in the time she put into the marriage

On April 14, 2011 Kobe Bryant was fined 100,000 by the NBA for a gay slur that he yelled at one of the officials. Kobe wasn't too happy for the technical foul which resulted in the comment towards the ref. During an interview with Bryant, Bryant apologized for the comment and then stated during the interview that his comment "do NOT reflect my feelings toward thOT meant to offend anyone," adding that his homophobic slur “should not be taken literally,” adding that his actions stemmed from frustration “during the heat of the game.” After reading this article I was disappointed in Kobe. I didnt expect that out of him, I guess some calls can get you out of your game. Luckly, he wasnt suspeneded for a game.

Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom is awaded the Sixth Man of the Year Award. Odom averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 53 percent from the field, the highest shooting mark of his 12-year career. In my opinion Odom had been a great big of help to the Lakers team. Since Bynum injuries, Odom stepped up to the plate in contributing points in the hole and from the field. Lamar Odom deserved that award. Hands down.

In the NFL, the Carolina Panthers has the number one pick in the NBA Draft, but who would they pick? Critics are saying that they should not pick the quarterback f Camron Newton from Auburn because of some of some offensive work he need to put in, in passing. The critics feels as though Marcell Dareus from Alabama is more suitable for the Pathers and therefore should be there number one pick.
